Description
Le château de Blonay est resté la propriété de la même famille depuis sa construction (sauf de 1752 à 1806). La famille de Blonay était à l'origine une famille savoyarde vassale de Pierre II de Savoie.
Auparavant les premiers seigneurs de Blonay avaient reçu de l'évêque de Lausanne la ville de Vevey et le village de Corsier, et de l'évêque de Sion la garde du château de Chillon. Vers 1150 le seigneur de Blonay, parti pour une croisade en Terre Sainte, vit à son retour la Maison de Savoie installée dans Chillon qu'elle venait de prendre à l'évêque de Sion. C'est alors que les Blonay construisirent leur propre château, afin d'avoir un lieu sûr et fortifié dans leurs propres terres (1184).

Das Schloss Blonay ist seit seiner Konstruktion das Eigentum der gleichen Familie (ausser 1752 bis 1806). Die Familie von Blonay war am Anfang eine abhängige savoyische Familie von Peter II aus Savoyen.
Zuvor hatten die ersten Herren von Blonay vom Bischof von Lausanne die Stadt Vevey und das Dorf Corsier erhalten, und vom Bischofs von Sion die Bewachung des Schlosses Chillon. Gegen 1150 sah der Herr von Blonay, der an einen Kreuzzug ins Heilige Land teilnahm, bei seiner Rückkehr das Haus Savoyen, das sich in Chillon niederliess, das sie soeben vom Bischof von Sion gestohlen hatte. Somit bauten die Blonay ihr eigenes Schloss, um einen sicheren Ort auf ihren Ländereien zu haben (1184).

Blonay Castle is the propety of the same family since its construction (except from 1752 to 1806). The family of Blonay was originally a Savoyard family vassal of Peter II of Savoy.
Previously the first lords of Blonay had received from the bishop of Lausanne the city of Vevey and the village of Corsier, and the bishop of Sion the guard of the Chillon castle . Around 1150 the lord of Blonay, left for a crusade in the Holy Land, saw on his return the House of Savoy installed in Chillon that she had just taken from the Bishop of Sion. It was then that the Blonay built their own castle, in order to have a safe and fortified place in their own lands (11 84).
